Fine Arts Education Along the Border

 

 A collective of artists empowering communities through fine arts in education. With music, theatre, dance, and art curriculum, we seek to inspire talents towards community development. We believe in the power of art to ignite social change, growth in understanding, and advancement in human consciousness.

Reach

Rio Grande Valley Community Development 

Founded in April 2013 two miles north of the Mexican- American Border. Creative Arts Studio began with 5 teachers and 8 students, but soon their roster grew along with their staff, today we serve hundreds of children. 

Currently Creative Arts Studio consists of four locations: Headquarters (founded in April 2013), McAllen Incubator (founded in April 2017), Jailhouse (August 2017), and Sharyland (October 2019), in the heart of Mission, Texas, were they serve more than 500 students and 30 teachers and staff members.

CAS Today

  • We’re currently lead fine arts programs with more than 500 students in South Texas.

  • Areas of expertise: Mariachi, Country, Conjunto, Norteño, Latin Rock, Classical, Rock & Roll.

  • Our core curriculum is based on Co-Intentional education, based on the principles of Paulo Freire's pedagogy

  • We have several ensembles performing in dozens of community events through out the year.
